What is Google Stadia?
Google launched its Stadia cloud gaming service and a wireless game controller at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco on March 19, 2019.
Stadia will stream games from the cloud to the Chrome browser, Chromecast, and Pixel devices, and it will launch at some point in 2019 in the US, Canada, UK, and Europe.
Google is buiding a game platform for everyone with the help of Stadia cloud facility. Now a middle level gammer doesn’t need to purchase a high-end gaming hardware for playing or streaming video games.
You can play games by one click over YouTube streaming video without any hardware setup or software support. A game developer can share their beta version of game to gammer’s community for testing. Google are introducing three keywords to define the overall working of Stadia.
- First for Creator (Developers)
- Second for Players (Gamers or tester)
- Third for Streamer (Online Streaming)
Create + Scale + Connect
Google says it expects to support up to 4K at 60 fps at launch over an internet connection with around 30Mbps of bandwidth, and it’s planning to support up to 8K resolutions and 120 fps in the future.
Hardware offered by Google in Stadia
Google is partnering with AMD to build a custom GPU for its datacenters. It’s a chip that Google claims will deliver 10.7 teraflops of power, which is more than the 4.2 teraflops of the PS4 Pro and the 6 teraflops of power on the Xbox One X. Each Stadia instance will also be powered by a custom 2.7GHz x86 processor with 16GB of RAM.
“The future of gaming is not a box, its a place” according to Google.
One of the first games to launch on Google’s Stadia service will be Doom Eternal, which will support 4K resolution, HDR, and 60 fps game play. Doom Eternal doesn’t have a firm launch date just yet, but it will also be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
Another Google Cloud service (Google Colab) which will be accessed by browser only to run complex code
Before some time they also announced a new platform Google Colaboratory (colab), this service offers extremly powerful TPU and GPU’s power for compiling code (machine learning code) without any cost. That was the great feature but now Google is trying to cover gaming market because games like Fortnite have turned into virtual places where kids hang out to chat, play, and watch streamers. It’s a big business, too. Fortnite made around $2.4 billion alone last year, and one of the most popular streamers makes more than $500,000 a month (known as Ninja). PUBG is also on the top and covering a large cummunity area. Many streamers are using YouTube rather than Twich because it’s famous all over world. Many people enjoy only watching gameplay and many doesn’t afford the hardware setup for streaming or gameplay whereas they could be a pro level player. But they didn’t get any chance to deliver their skill over internet.
If we want success then we have to do the things with different way. Google is using this strategy, It knows that they have a large community of streamers and their followers over YouTube, Now it will use their own streaming platform to deliver high quality streaming experience. With the help of this service any gammer can showcase their gameplay to the world without any expensive hardware step.
As it would completely depend over internet (The internet becomes your store) so speed should be fast. Now a days internet problem is not a big issue.
For example it would like online game play such as slither (an snake game)
As Google announced a wireless controller to play games, this is not a ordinary controller it’s full of features like one touch streaming and Google assistant supports.
As we can feel that world is being evolution day by day by technology. Everyone is trying to attract consumers to their side by providing special services or deals offers.
As we know the success of behind every companies or people is that how they made easy solutition for any given problems. That’s the key of success.
Platform where we would be able to access Google Stadia
As Google announced that it will run over a browser, fortunately it would be Chrome (Google own web browser). You can access it over every platform even on TV (Smart TV or android TV), general Tv with chromecast, chrome notebook and pixel smartphones, so run it we need only chrome browser.
But now Google have to work over game development, because it is child in this field many compitiers are using their strategy to developing best of the best games.
Amazon and Microsoft would also use Google cloud gaming concept by their AWS and Azure cloud servers.
Now cloud gaming war is begin, lets see who would cover gaming market. Please share your opinion in comment box.
In future Google Stadia will bad impact over PC components (like Graphics Cards, Processor) sell, because we will not need a highend and expensive components for gaming. Most of the highend grahics cards or processors only use in gaming PC. Till now XBox and Sony told us that gaming completly depands upon hardware, because they want to sell their gaming console and after that they sell games for their particular hardware brand. As we are thinking that NVIDIA is going to down in future and AMD is partner of Google now so AMD is safe.
Now if are planing to build their own gaming PC and thinking to plugin some high specification components (RTX Graphics Cards and i9 9th generation Intel processor and 128GB RAM) so stop this process and try to build PC according to your budget. Let’s wait for Google Stadia it would be awesome with extremly powerful performance.
