Section-A

1. (a) Draw the circuit diagram of transistor AND gate and explain its working.4

    (b) What is the difference between serial and parallel transfer.3

2. (a) Differentiate between binary parallel adder and decimal adder.4

    (b) Implement the following using 8:1 MUX :

3. (a) Explain briefly clocked R-S flip-flop.4

    (b) Discuss the working of master slave J-K flip-flop.3

4. (a) Simplify the function using K-map and resize the same using NOR gates :4

    (b) What do you mean by design counter? Explain with example.3

5. Convert the following flip-flop :

    (a) RS flip-flop to D flip-flop4

6. (a) Explain circuit diagram and working of multiplexers.4

    (b) Explain subtractors with example.3

7. (a) Describe a 4-bit synchronous counter with its logic diagram, limiting diagram and working.4

    (b) What is the difference between DRAM and SRAM in terms of application?3

8. (a) Discuss about ROM and its parts.4

    (b) What is the use of register in CPU.3

Section-E

9.Write short note on the following :

    (a) Intel Register Transfer.2\tfrac{1}{2}

    (b) Floating & Non-numeric Data.2\tfrac{1}{2}

10. (a) Explain in detail design of simple computer.2\tfrac{1}{2}

      (b) Implement the following Boolean function using ROM: 2\tfrac{1}{2}
