Asus ROG Mothership GZ700 Gaming Laptop

Asus has launch its innovative ROG Mothership GZ700 gaming laptop at CES (Consumer Electronic Show) 2019, the massive technology show that’s currently taking place in Las Vegas.

As we know that gaming laptops usually come in a rather limited range of form factors, either big and bulky, or thin, light and very expensive, Asus has done something very different with the Mothership GZ700.

Unlike any traditional laptops (gaming or otherwise), the components are placed behind the screen, not underneath the keyboard in Mothership GZ700. This allows for better airflow to the hardware, keeping it cool while playing the latest games.

The keyboard can either be used as if the Mothership GZ700 were a regular laptop, or detached (now it would work as wireless portable backlit keyboard), turning the Mothership GZ700 into a compact all-in-one PC.

This new design has allowed Asus to pack the Mothership GZ700 with CNC-machined aluminum body and  some pretty impressive tech, including an NVIDIA^® GeForce RTX™ 2080 GPU (Graphics card) and an overclocked 8th Gen Intel^® Core™ i9-8950HK processor (overclocked up-to 4.8 GHz), which comes with 6 cores, 12 threads.

It also has a series of super-fast  three NVMe SSDs set up in ultra-fast RAID O speed up-to 8700 MB/s, for even better performance, and next-gen Intel^® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 (802.11 ax) Wi-Fi  (speed up-to 2400 mbps) and 2.5G Ethernet as well.

Thanks to its innovative design increases airflow, the Mothership GZ700 uses air cooling, rather than water cooling as with some of Asus’ previous high-end and enthusiast gaming laptops, and it has allowed the company to reduce the size of the Mothership GZ700’s chassis to 29.9mm.

Now talk about its ultra-fast display with 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time, which comes with NVIDIA^® G-SYNC^™ Display.

Gamers can injoy ESS^® Sabre audio with 4 front-facing, 7. 1 channel speakers supports virtual surround sound.
